Jerad Eickhoff Tossing Bullpen Session Wednesday
7 years agoStill out since spring training with a right lat strain, Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Jerad Eickhoff will toss a bullpen session Wednesday before the Phillies take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 27-year-old, who suffered a setback last year after a 2016 season that saw him become the club’s most reliable starter, was estimated to be out six to eight weeks. Based on that timeline, he appears to be right on target to return when he was expected to. When he returns, it would make sense for him to replace Ben Lively in the starting rotation. Despite having his finest start of the season last time out, Lively has struggled significantly during this opening month of the campaign.
