6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Jerad Eickhoff (lat, hand) threw a successful bullpen session on Thursday. The next step for him will be to face hitters and begin a rehab assignment. Eickhoff has been on the disabled list since March 29 with no clear timetable for his return. The news definitely comes as a step in the right direction for the pitcher, though. In 2017, he had a 4.71 ERA and 118 strikeouts. It's not clear whether there will be a place for him on the Phillies rotation when he's ready to come back, so you can leave him on the waiver wire for now.--Mauricio Castillo
