Jemerrio Jones Fills Stat Sheet On His Birthday
6 years agoLos Angeles Lakers forward Jemerrio Jones was all over the court in Tuesday's 104-101 loss to Portland, notching 11 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks, playing a whopping 46 minutes. He shot 5-for-13 from the field, including 1-for-2 from downtown. Jones, who celebrated his 24th birthday on Tuesday, averaged 9.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per game in 24.7 minutes in the G League before the Lakers snapped him up at the end of last month. Time will tell if he has a role to play in the big league. Posting three consecutive games with 10-plus rebounds to end the year certainly didn't hurt his chances of getting an NBA contract for 2019-20.
