5 years agoThe Detroit Tigers placed third baseman Jeimer Candelario (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday with left shoulder inflammation and recalled infielder Harold Castro from Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding move. The move is retroactive to June 2. The 25-year-old Candelario has been bad this year, hitting .179 with two home runs and nine RBI in 156 at-bats. As a result, he shouldn't be owned in most mixed leagues. Dawel Lugo now has a clear path to playing time at the hot corner and is worth a stab in AL-only leagues. Castro hit .328 with four home runs and 25 RBI at Toledo, but he'll likely be infield depth for Detroit.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
