1 year agoWashington Nationals third baseman Jeimer Candelario (knee) is out of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Texas Rangers. The 29-year-old will sit out this contest after getting hit in the knee by a pitch during Thursday's game. The expectation is that this is a day-to-day issue, so hopefully Candelario will avoid a trip to the injured list. Ildemaro Vargas will take over at third base and bat fifth Friday versus left-hander Cody Bradford.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
