Jeffrey Springs Leaves Start With Hamstring Tightness
34 seconds agoAthletics starting pitcher Jeffrey Springs left the game in the third inning of Sunday's start with hamstring tightness. He had already given up six runs (four earned) on five hits and four walks in a game that the A's would go on to lose 14-1 to the Brewers. After the game, Springs said the hamstring issue was more like a cramp that started in the second inning and worsened in the third. He expects to be ready to pitch for his next start, but he will undergo further evaluations over the next couple of days. He currently holds an ugly 5.64 ERA on the season, and will look to turn things around in his next start if he's ready to go.
