Jeff Wilson Jr. Has RB1 Upside In Week 16
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jeff Wilson Jr. appears to be in a fantastic spot heading into Week 16 against the Arizona Cardinals. The team is shutting down Raheem Mostert (ankle) for the year and Wilson is now the team's No. 1 back. Last week, Wilson saw 16 carries while Mostert earned 14, missing a chunk of the game after injuring his ankle. Tevin Coleman was next on the team with just three carries last week. The 49ers are a team that runs often and typically runs effectively. The Cardinals rank amongst the middle of the pack in run defense, allowing 119.4 rushing yards per game. Wilson has a chance to rush for around 100 yards this week and he has fantastic touchdown potential as well. Start him as a solid RB2 with a decent floor and high upside in Week 16.
