Jeff Skinner Nets Two Goals Against San Jose
3 years agoBuffalo Sabres winger Jeff Skinner ended a five-game goal drought on Tuesday, finishing a 5-3 road loss in San Jose with two markers. He was plus-two for the night and also produced a game-high six shots in 20:11 of action. Skinner's career in Buffalo has sadly been abysmal and there's nothing to cheer about this season either, with the 29-year-old having recorded only five points in nine appearances with a minus-two rating. He's so far managed only three goals despite getting 31 shots. The Sabres clearly need more from him after Victor Olofsson fell out of the lineup on Tuesday with a soft-tissue injury.
