Jeff Petry Pots 10th Goal Of The Year
4 years agoMontreal Canadiens defenseman Jeff Petry pushed his point streak to five games with his 10th goal of the season in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Canucks. The veteran blueliner has scored in four games during the point streak, and he is the first Montreal defenseman in over 80 years to notch 10 goals in a season with 25 or fewer games. Petry is having a career year, as he's never been close to averaging a point per game, but sits on 24 points through 25 contests with no signs of him slowing down. He has added 68 shots with 40 hits and 28 blocks. Petry and the Canadiens will be back in action on Thursday against Calgary.
