Jeff Petry A Healthy Scratch Monday
1 year agoDetroit Red Wings defenseman Jeff Petry will be a healthy scratch for Monday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Wings went with seven defensemen in their first two games of the season, but have decided to go with a more typical 12 forward, six d-men approach for Monday's game. Austin Czarnik will replace Petry and play on the fourth line. Petry was traded to the Wings from the Montreal Canadiens in the summer in a deal that was mostly about Montreal gaining some cap space. Petry will likely get into most games for Detroit, but he is clearly not the same guy he was just a few years ago and doesn't need to be rostered in any fantasy leagues.
