Jeff McNeil Hits Fourth Homer In As Many Games
4 years agoAfter a season-long home run drought, New York Mets third baseman/outfielder Jeff McNeil has now homered in four straight games. McNeil went 2-for-3 with a two run homer and three RBI in the Mets' 7-6 win over Baltimore on Wednesday. Over the past few games, McNeil has essentially turned around a mediocre season and is proving to be a pivotal fantasy asset for managers down the stretch. He is now hitting .315/.388/.496 with four home runs and 19 RBI in 127 at-bats. With McNeil beginning to finally pay dividends in the home run and RBI categories, managers should continue to roll with him. The Mets will keep McNeil in the lineup while he is red hot and hitting for power to go with his usual high average skill set.
