Jeff Driskel Impresses In Lions Week 10 Loss
5 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Jeff Driskel performed admirably in just his sixth career start. The second-year signal-caller completed 27-of-46 passes for 269 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Lions Week 10 loss to the Bears. Driskel also ended up leading the Lions in rushing yards, posting 37 yards on 5 attempts. The Lions have to be pleased with his performance after he was thrust into the fire on short notice against a very tough defensive squad. Driskel would be forced to start again in Week 11 against the Cowboys if starting quarterback Matthew Stafford (back) is unable to return, which looks likely at this point. If that proves to be the case the entire Lions offense would get a slight downgrade, but they should still be able to make some noise.
