4 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitching prospect Jean Cabrera tossed six no-hit frames on Thursday. He struck out 10 batters and allowed just one free pass. This was a nice bounce back for the 22-year-old, as he allowed five earned runs in his previous outing. In his first look at High-A Ball, the right-hander is on pace to set career bests in several statistics. He currently sits with a 3.39 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and a 25:91 BB:K ratio through 77 innings. Last season at Single-A, he logged 81 ⅓ frames to the tune of a 4.32 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, and a 22:86 BB:K ratio. While he currently sits outside of the Philadelphia top 30 prospects on MLB.com is a name to keep a close eye on as he has shown high-upside strikeout potential all season.
