4 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm (hamstring) is taking batting practice and doing defensive work. He will progress to facing live pitching and running this weekend. Chisholm hasn't played since April 27th when he suffered a hamstring injury and was placed on the 10-day injured list. The Marlins are desperately missing Jazz for both his offense and defense, as Isan Diaz has been getting starts at second base but hasn't done much well. Assuming no setbacks, Jazz could be back in the lineup at some point next week.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
