Jazz Chisholm Jr. To Have Toe Surgery Tuesday
1 year agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (toe) will undergo surgery to repair turf toe in his right foot on Tuesday, per MLB.com's Christina De Nicola. The procedure will prevent him from wearing a shoe and running for 12 weeks. The 25-year-old injured his toe on the cement block of the left-center-field wall at loanDepot Park in the middle of May. Chisholm Jr. had a successful offensive season when he was healthy, slashing .250/.304/.457 with 19 home runs, 51 RBI, and 22 stolen bases in 383 plate appearances. However, this will be his second consecutive season missing significant time due to injury, so health will be a considerable concern heading into the 2024 season.
