Jazz Chisholm Jr. Taking Batting Practice
3 months agoNew York Yankees infielder/outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (elbow) was seen at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday before the team's game against the Cleveland Guardians taking batting practice. Chisholm is attempting to recover from a UCL injury to his left elbow that put him on the 10-day injured list last week, and his activity on Wednesday represents some major progress. Initially, it was unclear if the 26-year-old would need season-ending surgery on his elbow. Although he probably won't be ready to return from the IL when he's eligible this Saturday, Chisholm should be able to avoid surgery and return to the Yankees as their regular third baseman to close out the 2024 regular season. Already a must-start fantasy player because of his power/speed combination, Chisholm's fantasy stock went up when he was acquired by the Yankees at the trade deadline, and he hit .316 (18-for-57) with seven homers, 11 RBI and five steals in his first 14 games with the Bombers.
