Jazz Chisholm Jr. Not Playing Against Lefty
2 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. is not in the starting lineup on Thursday for the series finale against the Atlanta Braves and left-hander Dylan Dodd. The Marlins will give Chisholm a normal day of rest in a day game and against a southpaw. Fantasy managers will want to pull him out of their lineups. The 25-year-old left-handed swinger heads into the weekend with a .239 average (27-for-113) with two doubles, a triple, five home runs, 13 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 11 runs scored in 123 plate appearances and 30 games played. He's on pace to shatter his previous career-high of 23 steals if he stays healthy. With Chisholm on the bench, rookie Peyton Burdick is starting in center field and hitting ninth, while Jon Berti serves as the leadoff man.
