Jazz Chisholm Jr. Dealing With Knee Discomfort
1 year agoUpdating a previous report, Miami Marlins outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (knee) left Wednesday's game early against the Milwaukee Brewers with right-knee discomfort, according to the team. Garrett Hampson moved from shortstop to center field to replace Chisholm in the eventual 2-0 win. Before leaving prematurely, Chisholm was hitless in his two at-bats to drop his season average to .251 and his OPS to .745. The 25-year-old hurt himself while grounding into a double play in the fourth inning. Fantasy managers probably won't know more about the severity of the injury until Thursday, but given Chisholm's extensive injury history early in his career, it wouldn't be surprising to see him land on the injured list. And at this point in the season, that could mean Chisholm has played in his final game of 2023.
