Jaylen Brown Scores Team-High 24
5 years agoBoston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown recorded 24 points, four rebounds and, a steal in a 103-102 win over the Sacramento Kings. Brown helped to make up for the absence of Kemba Walker (neck) by scoring a team-high 24 points. The 23-year-old aggressively looked to finish in the painted area and took advantage of a mismatch with Bogdan Bogdanovic, scoring seven straight against him in the third quarter to give Boston the lead. It's been the breakout Celtics fans (and fantasy managers) have been hoping for, as Brown has posted career-highs in every category except blocks and three-point percentage. Brown and the Celtics will play their next two against the Brooklyn Nets, who have allowed the second-most shot attempts in the NBA.

Jaylen Brown Unavailable Tuesday
2 weeks agoBoston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (knee) will not suit up for Tuesday's action against the Brooklyn Nets. Brown made an early exit against the Nets on Saturday due to back spasms but is again on the injury report with a right knee posterior impingement. The 2024 NBA Finals MVP has regularly played through the injury in recent weeks, but he will take the night off on Tuesday. Sam Hauser is likely to grab Brown's spot in the starting lineup, while Payton Pritchard will have an opportunity to contribute more off the bench. Over his previous 14 starts this season, Hauser has averaged 12.0 points and 4.0 rebounds.

Jaylen Brown Sits Out Friday's Game
2 weeks agoBoston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Miami Heat. A minor knee issue will keep him sidelined for the second time this month. Brown's absence will increase the offensive opportunities for the rest of the starting lineup, while Payton Pritchard is expected to see more action in the rotation. The last time Brown was out of the lineup, Pritchard went for 19 points, six assists, and two steals in 32 minutes.

Jaylen Brown Questionable For Friday Night
2 weeks agoBoston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Heat. He's been bothered by a knee issue and wasn't available for the win over the 76ers on March 6. But despite landing on the injury report ahead of the C's previous three contests, Brown has been out there, although he had only 10 points in the 118-112 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday evening. Kristaps Porzingis (illness), Jayson Tatum (knee), and Derrick White (knee) are also questionable. As a result, Jrue Holiday, Payton Pritchard, and Sam Hauser might see more scoring opportunities versus a Miami team that has lost five-straight contests.

Jaylen Brown Upgraded To Available
2 weeks agoBoston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (knee) is good to go for Wednesday's clash against the Oklahoma City Thunder. A knee problem initially left Brown with a probable tag entering Wednesday, but the team has upgraded his status to available. Since the All-Star break, Brown has boosted his scoring output to 25.3 points per game, although his three-point efficiency has dropped to 30.2 percent. On Wednesday, scoring won't be easy for Brown and his gang, as the Thunder boast the league's best defensive rating.
