Jayden Reed Posts Two Touchdowns In Losing Effort
1 year agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed caught 4-of-8 targets for 37 yards and two touchdowns during the team's 25-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The rookie made the most of his increased opportunity with Christian Watson (hamstring) out for the second week in a row and was able to account for two of quarterback Jordan Love's three touchdowns thrown. Reed capped off the team's first scoring drive with a nine-yard touchdown on a touch pass that he took around the corner past multiple defenders. The 23-year-old showed off his speed on the play and then was able to find the end zone again on a 10-yard strike at the end of the third quarter. Even when Watson returns, Reed has earned starting reps and will be a solid waiver pickup heading into Week 3. He will be a potential deep league flex option next week against the New Orleans Saints.
