Jaxon Smith-Njigba Dealt Another Tough Matchup In Week 14
12 months agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba set new personal bests in receptions and targets last week, grabbing seven of his 11 looks for 62 yards against the Dallas Cowboys. He nearly had a 30-yard touchdown pass to add to his numbers but the play was overturned on review. In Week 14, the Seahawks face the San Francisco 49ers for the second time in three weeks. In their last meeting, Smith-Njigba was limited to just two catches for 41 yards. Aside from the challenging matchup, Seattle's quarterback situation is in flux as Geno Smith (groin) is questionable for Sunday, which would mean Drew Lock may be in line for a start. Smith-Njigba has evolved into a somewhat stable floor play in PPR leagues but managers should consider Smith's potential absence before relying too heavily on the rookie in Week 14.
