Javonte Williams Could Have Lesser Role In The First Month
1 year agoDenver Broncos third-year running back Javonte Williams (knee) impressed coaches and teammates with a speedy recovery after he tore his ACL and suffered other ligament damage in Week 4 last October. He looked sharp in training camp and his lone preseason appearance. However, The Athletic's Nick Kosmider writes that it may be fair to peg Williams for a lesser role during the first month of the season as he continues to find his rhythm. It makes Samaje Perine a solid late-round pickup in fantasy drafts, and new head coach Sean Payton has always been one to rotate RBs in his backfields. Williams' ADP this draft season slowly rose as he looked good during his recovery, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect too much, too soon from him this year.
