1 year agoDetroit Tigers shortstop Javier Baez is not in the starting lineup for the series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday. Baez is dealing with a death in his family and remains out of the lineup for the Tigers. The next logical step for Baez would be to be placed on the bereavement list, which would keep him out for another handful of games. Zach McKinstry is starting at shortstop and batting leadoff against Tampa starter Erasmo Ramirez in Baez's absence.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
