Jauan Jennings May See Target Increase
1 year agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings could get more involved in the team's passing game if fellow receiver Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) can't go Thursday night against the New York Giants. Through two games, Jennings has two receptions on four targets for 51 yards. In his three-year NFL career, he's only gone over 10 half-PPR points twice. Even if Aiyuk were to sit, it's no guarantee that the vacated targets would go the former seventh-rounder's way given the multitude of talented options quarterback Brock Purdy has at his disposal. It's even possible rookie Ronnie Bell could reap the benefits of Aiyuk's absence rather than Jennings. Even if Aiyuk is out, Jennings should be considered a very risky option this week.
