Ja'Tavion Sanders Impresses Against Commanders
1 month agoCarolina Panthers rookie tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders recorded a career-high six receptions for 61 yards in the team's 33-point loss (40-7) to the Washington Commanders. No other Panthers pass catcher had more than two catches. This comes on the heels of Sanders' five-reception, 49-yard performance in Week 6. The fourth-round pick is capitalizing on increased reps as veteran tight end Tommy Tremble (back) missed his second consecutive game. While Carolina's offensive woes persist and even compound, Sanders is emerging as a reliable target. He could be a waiver wire option for managers needing tight-end help, though Tremble's return could complicate his role. The Panthers rookie tight end is mainly a deep-league option against the Denver Broncos in Week 8.
