5 months agoNew York Yankees outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez (oblique) is dealing with a moderate strain of his left oblique, and there's no timeline for his return to minor-league action with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Dominguez recently came off his rehab assignment after having Tommy John surgery on his elbow last year, but now the 21-year-old is missing time after straining his oblique on a check swing on Saturday at Triple-A. Dominguez is the clear center fielder of the future for the Yankees, but he's likely to be out at least around a month with his latest injury, further pushing back his potential return to the big-league roster in 2024 after an impressive debut in the Bronx in 2023. In nine games at Triple-A, he's hit a strong .389/.405/.639 with two home runs.
