Jasson Dominguez Catching Fire In August
1 year agoAfter an up and down year for Double-A Somerset, New York Yankees outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez has turned things around in August. On Wednesday, Dominguez, 3-for-5 with a solo home run and two strikeouts. The 20-year-old has been a bit of a disappointment this season compared to his first couple of professional years and much of that can be attributed to his high strikeout rate this season. Despite that, Dominguez has been on fire in August with a .356 batting average to go together with two homers, eight RBI and seven stolen bases in 59 at-bats. Dominguez still has some improving to do, but when he's right, he offers an exciting combination of power and speed. For now, can be ignored in redraft leagues, but should be rostered in dynasty leagues.
