San Francisco 49ers cornerback Jason Verrett (Achilles) suffered a torn left Achilles tendon in practice on Wednesday and is out for the rest of the season. The former first-rounder in 2014 by the Chargers has had the worst injury luck. He was a Pro Bowler in his second year in the league in 2015, but he's played in double-digit games in just two seasons and he had yet to take the field in 2022 after tearing his right ACL in Week 1 of last year. The 31-year-old has played in just 15 games for the 49ers since joining them in 2019. It's been one serious injury after another for Verrett in his career, and he'll be looking for a new home after he rehabs his torn Achilles in 2023. The 49ers secondary has also lost Emmanuel Mosley (knee) for the year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
