Boston Red Sox pitching prospect Jason Groome will undergo tommy john surgery to repair his UCL in his left elbow on May 15, according to Lauren Campbell of NESN.com. Groome was selected 12th overall in the 2016 MLB draft, but has dealt with injuries since 2017. He spent most of last season on the DL with flexor and intercostal strains. Groome will be out until the middle of 2019 at the earliest. He can be dropped in a majority of leagues, even dynasty leagues. Use the slot for another prospect with upside.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
