Jason Foley Records Six-Out Save
1 year agoDetroit Tigers relief pitcher Jason Foley picked up his third save of the season with his brilliant performance in a 6-4 win over the Minnesota Twins. Tasked with getting out of a two-on, nobody-out jam in what was suddenly becoming a close game thanks to another Alex Lange blowup, Foley delivered and only allowed one inherited runner to score to preserve the lead. He then came back out for the ninth and quickly finished off the Twins, notching four strikeouts in total. This game might have sealed the fate of the Tiger's closer role, with Foley looking like the clear option for now while Lange likely takes a back seat until he finds it. The former should be added in deeper leagues where saves matter, especially by managers who need to handcuff Lange.
