Jason Foley Notches Save No. 4
1 year agoDetroit Tigers right-hander Jason Foley allowed one hit over a scoreless inning to pick up the save during Thursday's 3-0 win over the Kansas City Royals. Detroit's primary closer, Alex Lange, had pitched the previous two games. The Tigers called on Foley in the ninth inning to protect a three-run lead. He worked around a hit to earn his fourth save of the season. The 27-year-old owns a 2.13 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 37 strikeouts over 42 1/3 innings in 2023. Foley is Detroit's top setup man, and he should be rostered in league formats that reward the category saves and holds.
