Jason Day Brings Upbeat Attitude To Connecticut
5 years agoDuring Jason Day's career, he has been the No. 1 player in the world for 51 weeks, reaching the pinnacle of his success in 2015 and 2016. But despite all the glorious accolades that the Australian has achieved, Day has called himself an "underachiever" during his career. However, all of that might be about to change after hiring new caddie Steve Williams to his bag. Williams rose to fame by helping guide Tiger Woods to 13 of his major championship titles, and Day has sounded rejuvenated since making the hiring before last week's U.S. Open. "You just have to look at the players that he's (worked) with," Day said. "It puts your mind at ease knowing that he knows what he's doing." It remains to be seen if the partnership will work out the way that the 31-year-old is hoping, but we are all in when it comes to his chances in Connecticut this weekend.
