Jason Castro Returns To Field On Wednesday
4 years agoHouston Astros catcher Jason Castro (oblique) returned to the field on Wednesday after dealing with a strained oblique. Castro signed with Houston this offseason. He began his career with the franchise in 2010 and spent seven years with the Astros before signing with the Minnesota Twins prior to the 2017 season. He's slated to be the team's backup catcher behind Martin Maldonado this year. Last year, Castro played for both the Los Angeles Angels and San Diego Padres. Over 27 games, he slashed .188/.293/.375 with two home runs, nine RBI and eight runs.
