Jason Alexander Out Until May
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers right-hander Jason Alexander (shoulder) is expected to be out until May after re-aggravating his right shoulder. Alexander was trending in the right direction after increasing his workload but rehashed his injury after his shoulder began to flare up. The 29-year-old spent most of his rookie campaign as a starter and saw some bullpen reps. He molded a 5.40 ERA with 46 strikeouts across 71 2/3 innings. Alexander made 11 starts out of 18 appearances and finished with a 1.619 WHIP. The California native is mainly used for pitching depth and won't necessarily have a secure role in the Brewers rotation. Alexander may make a handful of starts, but he'll likely spend most of his time in the bullpen when he returns.
