Jason Adam Recalled From Omaha
6 years agoKansas City Royals relief pitcher Jason Adam was recalled from Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday morning to take the place of Justin Grimm. Grimm was put on the disabled list with a right shoulder impingement. Adam was mildly effective last time he was with the big league squad, posting a 4.70 ERA in 14 short-relief appearances, but even that level of success is unlikely to be attained again. Adam had a perfect 100 percent strand rate during his first stint in KC, and it's extremely unlikely he can keep up that level moving forward. That's why his FIP is at 7.27, and fantasy owners should shy away from him unless he's learned some new tricks.
