1 year agoTampa Bay Rays right-hander Jason Adam (oblique) will be placed on the 15-day injured list with an oblique strain. He was unavailable for Saturday's game against the Guardians, and it's unclear when Adam suffered the oblique injury. The 32-year-old last pitched on Sunday. The right-hander owns a 2.67 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and a 69: 20 K: BB across 54 innings in 2023. Adam was Tampa Bay's top setup man to primary closer Pete Fairbanks and will miss the next two weeks of action. Andrew Kittredge is next in line to handle high-leverage situations for the Rays while Adam is sidelined.
