Jarren Duran Leaves Early Tuesday
8 months agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran left Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the Tampa Bay Rays with what appeared to be a foot injury. The 27-year-old was seen flexing his left foot, the same foot that he had surgery on this offseason, during his final at-bat of the afternoon before departing the contest. Duran enjoyed a breakout 2023 season as he hit .295 with eight home runs, 34 doubles, 24 stolen bases, and an .828 OPS across 102 games. His season was cut short due to a left big toe injury. His fantasy stock has increased significantly as he is projected for 13 home runs and 28 stolen bases in the 2024 season but fantasy managers would be wise to note that his .319 xwOBA was well below his .354 wOBA in the 2023 season.
