4 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Jarred Kelenic (illness) was not in the lineup at the alternate site Sunday. Despite some speculation that this was the result of an impending call-up to the big club, it was reported that Kelenic is dealing with a non-Covid illness. The Mariners sent Kelenic to the alternate site at the end of spring training, stating that they wanted him to get more minor league action, given that he has only played 21 games as high as Double-A. With that said, the Kelenic watch is firmly on, and he should already be on fantasy rosters in all leagues in advance of his call-up. Add him now if you still can.--Doug Goldring
