Jaren Jackson Jr. Shakes Off An Injury With A 22-Point Effort
3 years agoMemphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. put up 22 points in 26 minutes during Monday's blowout win over Philly, shooting 8-for-17 from the field and 5-for-6 at the charity stripe. He had an off night from downtown with a 1-for-6 record but did plenty of work in other areas, registering four rebounds and two assists with one steal and two blocks. Jackson Jr. missed a game over the weekend, and he was questionable for Monday's contest with knee soreness, but it looks like the injury isn't too bad after all. Getting more rebounds from Jackson Jr. would be nice, but he's on a good scoring tear right now and should continue it against Portland and Sacramento this week. The matchup against the Kings is particularly sweet, as opposing bigs have embarrassed them throughout the season.
