Jared Walsh Elects Free Agency
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels first baseman Jared Walsh has elected free agency after being removed from the 40-man roster. The 29-year-old was outright to Triple-A Salt Lake, but decides to hit the open market instead. The left-handed slugger was supposed to play a significant role on the team heading into 2023. However, he slashed .175/.268/.333 with four home runs and 11 RBI in 39 games with the Angels. Hopefully, a change of scenery will help Walsh get back on track. He blasted 29 homers with 98 RBI during the 2021 campaign. There should be an organization willing to take a chance on him.
