2 years agoLos Angeles first baseman/outfielder Jared Walsh (head) was activated off the 15-day injured list by the Angels on Saturday. Brett Phillips was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. He has yet to appear in the big leagues in 2023 due to insomnia and migraines. The 29-year-old is starting at first base and batting sixth in Saturday's game against the Minnesota Twins. Walsh had a career year in 2021, blasting 29 homers and driving in 98 runs with a .849 OPS in 2021. He will look to bounce back in 2023 after slashing .215/.269/.374 last season.
