Jared Shuster Throws Six No-Hit Innings
2 years agoAtlanta Braves prospect pitcher Jared Shuster threw six no-hit innings in a start for Triple-A Gwinnett. He had a 36% whiff rate, resulting in five strikeouts. He debuted with the Braves in early April, but they optioned him after just two starts. In eight-and-a-third innings at the MLB level, Shuster had an 8.31 ERA with nine walks and five strikeouts. At Triple-A, the 24-year-old has a 2.37 ERA but a 5.10 FIP through four starts. The top prospect should get another chance in the majors this year, but his stuff hasn't been impressive enough to stash.
