4 years agoForward Jared McCann will be joining the Seattle Kraken in its debut season in 2021-2022 as the franchise selected him from the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night. The 25-year-old was only a member of the Leafs for a handful of days following getting traded from Pittsburgh in exchange for prospect Filip Hallander and a 2021 seventh-round draft pick this past Saturday. McCann should step in and immediately compete for a top-line role in Seattle next season - fresh off a season in which he contributed 32 points (14 goals, 18 assists), a plus-17 rating, 10 power-play points and 93 shots in 43 games. The Ontario native should be considered an attractive sleeper in fantasy drafts this fall.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
