Seattle Kraken forward Jared McCann (undisclosed) is considered a game-time decision for Saturday's matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 28-year-old might skip a meeting with his former team after missing Friday's practice session with an unspecified injury. It's been an up-and-down season for McCann, but he remains the Kraken's leading scorer with 36 points (14 goals, 22 assists) in 49 games. Tye Kartye is set to rejoin the lineup if McCann is unable to play for the first time this season. Kartye brings physicality to the team but doesn't offer fantasy value on the offensive side.

Seattle Kraken left wing Jared McCann scored the game-winning goal in overtime to power the Kraken over the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday evening. The 28-year-old scored on a breakaway and beat Adin Hill on his backhand. McCann has now scored in each of his past two games and sits with season total of seven goals through 15 games. He also sits with 10 assists and 33 shots on goal. Over his past three seasons in Seattle, McCann has scored at least 25+ goals in each of them with a career-high of 40 in the 2022 campaign. Fantasy managers should continue to rely on McCann from a scoring perspective and is worth a look in favorable matchups in DFS.

Seattle Kraken forward Jared McCann (lower body) was a late scratch for Wednesday's preseason action against Edmonton. He left the warm-ups early, and the team announced that McCann had sustained a lower-body injury. The severity of the injury is unclear at present. Seattle will be desperate to have its top scorer available for the start of the season. McCann has led the team in goals and points during all of Kraken's three NHL campaigns. He registered 29 goals and 62 points in 80 games last season.

Seattle Kraken forward Jared McCann was the main offensive catalyst against Winnipeg on Tuesday, factoring in three goals in a 4-3 road win. He potted a short-handed goal in the second period and added two assists to his tally, including a power-play helper when Andre Burakovsky scored the game-winner with only 2:39 remaining in regulation. McCann has been huge for Seattle lately, going on a scoring tear of 17 points (seven goals, 10 assists) in 12 games. With many forwards underperforming for the Kraken this year, McCann is dominating at the top of the team's goal-scoring charts with 27 markers and also leads the team in overall scoring with 52 points in 61 games.
