Jared Jones Bounces Back In Strong Start Tuesday
6 months agoPittsburgh Pirates rookie starting pitcher Jared Jones got back on the right track in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Dodgers. Despite the tough matchup, Jones pitched six innings, allowing three hits and three walks with six strikeouts. He also hit a batter. The 22-year-old may no longer be the talk of Pittsburgh with Paul Skenes in the rotation, but Jones has been a great fantasy asset, going 4-5 with a 3.25 ERA, a 9.87 K/9 rate, and a 1.95 BB/9 rate in 12 starts and 69 1/3 IP. His numbers have been a bit higher since the beginning of May, but five of his six starts since then have been quality starts. His next matchup will be more favorable against the Twins.
