Jared Goff Has An Up-And-Down Week 4 Performance
5 years agoOn an afternoon where both offenses combined for 982 total yards, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff had 45 completions on an absurd 68 attempts for 517 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in the team’s 55-40 defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Playing catch-up for most of the contest, head coach Sean McVay relied on Goff’s arm more than ever before -- the 68 attempts were the third-most in league history. Unfortunately, while on paper his stat line appears impressive, the fourth-year QB struggled to be consistent and had a couple of bad interceptions at key points in the game. Fantasy owners should view this performance as an anomaly, as the Rams won’t be down in most games and Goff certainly won’t throw 60-plus passes again. View him as a mid-tier QB2 with QB1 upside.
