Jared Cook In Good Spot For First Game As A Saint
5 years agoNew Orleans Saints new tight end Jared Cook couldn't ask for a much better opening test as a member of the Saints. After catching 68 passes for 896 yards and six TDs in Oakland last year, many people expect Cook to regress this year while splitting opportunities in a more dynamic Saints offense. That may be true over the season, but Monday he gets a Texans Defense that allowed the fifth most fantasy points to tight ends last year and no longer has Jadeveon Clowney to put pressure on the quarterback. Since the Texans are an elite run-stopping unit, expect the Saints to go to the air often, which could make Cook a great option if you're willing to pay up in DFS. He's a clear start in season-long leagues.
