7 months agoChicago Cubs right-hander Jameson Taillon's (back) next start will be the team next week. The Cubs open Monday with a three-game series in Arizona and later start a four-game series on Thursday versus the Miami Marlins. Taillon felt great during his rehab start on Friday night and will meet with the team in Arizona to figure out the next steps. The 32-year-old threw 68 pitches over 3 2/3 innings during Friday's rehab start with Triple-A Iowa. He has been sidelined this season with a back injury. Taillon owned a 4.84 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and a 140:41 K: BB across 154 2/3 innings in 2023.
