Jameson Taillon Could Return Early Next Week
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jameson Taillon (ankle) is itching to get back into action. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday of his impending return, Taillon said, "There's not too much season left so the sooner the better for me." Taillon landed on the injured list on September 8 due to a partially-torn tendon in his right ankle. On Wednesday, he threw off a mound for the first time since the injury. He wore a brace on his ankle and threw 15 pitches. Taillon told reporters that he didn't feel any issues with his ankle during the short throwing session. It's yet to be seen whether the Yankees also believe that Taillon is ready for action yet. He's worth keeping an eye on for fantasy managers who are desperate for some additional streaming options amidst a thin pitching landscape.
