Jameson Taillon Charged With Second Loss
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jameson Taillon was saddled with his second loss of the season on Sunday against the Indians. Taillon pitched four innings, allowing four runs on five hits while striking out six and permitting zero free passes. The former Pirate was cruising through three scoreless innings before the wheels fell off in the fourth, as he allowed an RBI single and a three-run homer. Taillon has now struck out five or more batters in three of his first four starts, though his season ERA has ballooned to 6.23. Fantasy managers might want to hold for another start, as he'll get an excellent matchup against a Tigers lineup that has posted the second-worst strikeout rate in the majors this year.
